Texans are fortunate to have the law in the Texas Health & Safety Code. That law states that in disability cases, health care providers are not allowed to charge for copies of your medical records. The statute is §161.202 (Click Here) of the Texas Health & Safety Code. Sometimes they are not aware of this Texas law and must be informed about it.
